Flower of beauty...

This weekend was pretty fun...

Friday morning we left (reeeeeeelllly early) for all state choir. We spent all day Friday basically rehearsing. It was pretty fun though, the conductor wasn't who I was expecting... I guess I was expecting like some older guy or lady... but he was a young guy who was very energetic and passionate about what he was doing. He was pretty funny as well! There were a lot of people there from Marshall and Concord... and a lot of people who were REALLY good musicians. I sat next to a and talked to her for a while, she was from Marshall, and a 2000 graduate of South so she went to my alma mater! :o)

There were only three of us from WVU-P...me, Becca, and Craig Kendall. Yea Craig hasn't been my favorite person in the past, but though still mildly obnoxious, he didn't act as badly as he did last time I was around him. It was fun spending some more time with Becca. She's nice and pretty fun. Haha although we figured out that we should never go on any kind of trip together because neither one of us has the slightest sense of direction!

When we finished rehearsing on Friday we (Well it was just me, Dr. Young, and Craig) went to Bennigans. I got the fettuccini alfreado which was very good.

I ran into the South kids and Ms. Life several times. (Hmm that's sort of a dillema to me, I don't know whether to call her "Ms. Life" or Missy. I mean she's not my teacher, and she's only 2-3 years older than me... of course I'd call her Ms. Life around her students but I don't know.....) ANYWAY... It was really nice to see them again. I miss being in South's chamber choir more than anything!!! Ms. Life was nice enough to let me borrow her dress for the concert too. :o) I'm glad things seem to be getting better for her. If anyone can come close to filling Mrs. McClain's shoes than it's her. I have no doubt that with some experience, she will be able to acheive the same excellence with South Choir that Mrs. McClain did.

Anyway, Saturday morning we rehearsed more, then the concert was that afternoon. My mom, grandma, and Seth came down. I was sooo glad Seth came! :D After the concert I finally got a chance to see and talk to Mrs. McClain. I miss her as much as I miss being in South's choir! (I know she moved to PHS, but I am glad she stayed in town...) She was my favorite teacher at south, and definitley made more of a difference in my life than any other teacher since elementary school. So yea I'm glad I got to talk to her.

After the concert we headed back home. Seth stayed at my house for a couple hours just so I could spend some time with him. Which was nice. :o) Since I only saw him from afar that afternoon. ;)

You know I wish that I had tried out for all state chamber in high school before my senior year....... I probably would have made it if I had tried out before. Oh well, I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience it in college... better late than never!

I want to put a new template on here for Valentine's day. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to it! :D Seth and I aren't doing gifts or at least nothing big. Just cards and we're going out to dinner (at Columbos most likely). I'm really looking forward to spending that evening with him!!!! Wow. I sometimes can't believe just how incredibly blessed I am to have him. There's nothing I did to deserve him, but I'm glad that God doesn't base what he gives to us by what we deserve! ;) I'm sooo happy and I really do love him with all of my heart. I'm looking forward to getting married and just spending the rest of my life by his side!!! <3

Alrighty, well it's getting late and I'd better be getting to bed. (I'm hoping nothing is due tomorrow... I haven't even gotten any of my books out of the car!!! :p) But I do have class tomorrow (yuck) .... so I'm off!!! TTFN!!! (AND I LOVE YOU SETH!!!! <3)
